Meet Katelyn, LMFT: Your Bilingual Bridge to Better Mental Health

Konnichiwa and hello! I'm Katelyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a twist – I'm your half-Japanese, fully dedicated mental health ally. With a Master's in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, I'm here to help you navigate life's challenges with a blend of Eastern wisdom and Western techniques.

From Scrubs to Therapy Sessions: An Accidental Journey

Once upon a time, I dreamed of donning nursing scrubs. But when life closed that door, it opened a window into the world of mental health. As an intake coordinator, I discovered my true calling: not just bandaging wounds, but healing hearts and minds.

My Therapeutic Toolbox

Armed with a humanistic approach and a sprinkle of CBT, DBT, and Bowen Family Systems, I'm ready to tackle whatever life throws your way. Whether you're grappling with addiction, anxiety, depression, or trauma, I've got your back. And for my fellow Asian / Pacific Islanders, military members, and veterans – I see you, I hear you, and I'm here for you.

More Than Just Talk

In my therapy room (or virtual space), expect a judgment-free zone where your personal worth is celebrated. We'll work together to overcome hardships, embracing your capacity for growth and change. And yes, we can do this in English or Japanese – your choice!

When I'm Not in Therapist Mode

You might catch me at the local CrossFit box, pushing my limits and setting new fitness goals. Or maybe you'll spot me enjoying family time with my loving husband and two beautiful children. Life's all about balance, right?

A Message from Me to You

Taking the first step towards mental health can feel like a leap across the Pacific. But remember, you're not alone in this journey. I'm here to be your bridge, your support, and your cheerleader. So, whether you're facing a small ripple or a tsunami of challenges, let's navigate these waters together.

Ready to start your journey? Let's turn those mental health goals into reality – one session at a time. Gambatte! (That's Japanese for "You've got this!")
